To assist you to remain living in your own home, the NDIS may provide funding for you to receive assistance to complete household tasks.

These tasks must be reasonable and necessary, and your disability must directly impede your ability to complete them on your own.

For example, if you are unable to mow your lawn because you are in a wheelchair, then the NDIS may provide you funds to hire a gardener.

However, if you share a house and can’t clean your room, a cleaner can only be funded to clean your own room, as the rest of the house could be cleaned by the other occupants in the house.
