Registered Nurse

Position Title: Registered Nurse: Home and Community- SA Disability Care
Employment Type: Casual

Remuneration: $34.14 – $47.14
Hours Per Week: 22.5 hours

SA Disability Care is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Casual / contract position.

About this role:
The Registered Nurse is to manage SA Disability Care’s support services that align to the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Quality and Safeguarding Framework, individual Participant NDIS goals and outcomes and other relevant compliance standards. To ensure compliance in terms of practice; ensuring all participant’s plans, policies and procedures are up to date; and facilitating or conducting the necessary training and credentialing of service delivery staff.

Registered nurse will advise and lead all clinical care case management processes in conjunction with Service
Managers and Staff.

You will be required to assist clients with tasks such as Personal Care, Medication and Wound Management etc.

This is a casual role, however there is the flexibility to build on your roster and transition to Part-time. You will be expected to be available for agreed upon days and times and you will be rostered on for client visits on those days

About You:
As an outstanding Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering quality health care.
Your skills will include:

  • Current Registration with the Nurses Board of South Australia as Registered Nurse Div. 1 with AHPRA
  • Current industry experience in Management, Disability and/or aged care and/or Home and Community care essential
  • 2+ years of nursing experience in community care or residential setting
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management and communication skills with an ability to communicate and support a wide range of staff and liaise effectively with key stakeholders
  • Strong communication and language skills with Nepali speaking as an advantage
  • Understanding of the professional, ethical and legal requirements
  • Ability to work effectively autonomously and within a team environment

Disability Support Worker / Personal Care Worker

About the Role
We are seeking friendly, enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals who are looking for a rewarding role as a Support Worker, and are dedicated to providing exceptional care and service to our participants/clents or looking to gain experience to make a difference by supporting the participants towards their independence living.

Main Duties / Responsibilities
The core duties are to provide the following assistance.

  • Assistance with self-care activities (showering, dressing, grooming & toileting)
  • Community, social & recreational activities
  • Assistance with daily life
  • Medication reminders
  • Providing support in a home setting
  • Encouraging active participation in daily living activities and decision making
  • Contributing to the daily management by supporting the participants towards independence living
  • Documenting accurate and complete records of work activities and participants progress notes in accordance with legislative requirements

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
To be considered for these roles you must have the following skills and experience

  • Certificate III or IV in Disability / Individual Support or recognised equivalent in relevant field
  • NDIS Check
  • DHS (DCSI) – Working with Children Clearance (Child related employment screening cleared)
  • Current and valid unrestricted South Australian Driver’s License
  • Current First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate and Manual Handling Certificate
  • National Police Check (NPC)
